Muzaffarpur / Patna : A grieving mother in Muzaffarpur, placed the body of her four-year-old son on a Shivling at a nearby temple after he died during treatment at a private hospital. The deeply emotional scene unfolded in the Brahmapura area of the city.

The boy, Kartik Kumar, was admitted to the hospital with a high fever, but died shortly after being taken into intensive care. His mother, inconsolable with grief, accused the hospital of negligence in treating her son. In a state of distress, she took his body to a nearby temple, placed him on the sacred Shivling, and began hitting her head against the temple walls, causing visible injuries.

Eyewitnesses said that local residents gathered quickly and intervened, helping remove the woman from the temple and calling for medical assistance. She was treated for her injuries and later transported home by ambulance along with the child’s body.

The incident has sparked strong emotions in the community, with questions raised about the quality of care provided at the hospital.

In response to the allegations, the hospital’s management denied any wrongdoing. “The child was admitted on Friday evening with a high fever and was being treated in the ICU. Unfortunately, he passed away during the course of treatment. There was no negligence on our part,” a hospital representative said.
