Hero’s Homecoming: Major Manoj Kumar’s Mortal Remains Reach Village in Bihar
ARWAL – The solemn echoes of “Manoj Kumar Amar Rahe” resonated through the air as the mortal remains of Major Manoj Kumar, a brave son of the country who sacrificed his life on the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh, arrived in his native village Lodipur on Friday after three days. The emotional homecoming unfolded as the fallen soldier’s body was brought in an ambulance at 7:30 in the morning.
Leading the way in front of the ambulance, a procession of dozens of youths on bikes carried the tricolor flag, chanting heartfelt slogans in honor of Major Manoj Kumar. As the ambulance traveled through National Highway 110 from the district headquarters, locals lined the roadside, paying their respects to the courageous son with tearful eyes.
Army officers, including Brigadier RK Ghosh from Danapur Cantt, reached Lodipur village with the mortal remains of the martyr an hour before the solemn arrival. Arwal District Magistrate Varsha Singh, SP Mohammad Kasim, SDPO, BDO, and other officials were present to pay homage to Major Manoj Kumar.

Women in the village gathered on rooftops in groups to catch a last glimpse of the beloved soldier.
