IIM Bodh Gaya Concludes 11-Month Executive Program for Bihar’s Gazetted Officers
Gaya, 5th November 2023: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya celebrated the successful completion of the prestigious 11-month Executive Program in Public Policy and Management for Gazetted Officers of Bihar. Commencing on December 4, 2022, and concluding with a dynamic campus visit from November 1-4, 2023, the program aimed to enhance the capabilities of Gazetted Officers sponsored by the Government of Bihar through the Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD).
Dr. Vineeta Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, played a pivotal role in the success of the program. Dr. Sahay outlined the institution’s vision and highlighted the series of programs undertaken for institutional and capacity building. Expressing satisfaction with the program’s outcomes, she urged the officers to be exemplary and serve as torchbearers for IIM Bodh Gaya and BIPARD.
The program, meticulously designed to equip Gazetted Officers with skills and knowledge for effective public policy formulation and management, featured dedicated participants actively engaging in a rigorous curriculum. Covering a variety of cases, the program seamlessly integrated theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The 11-month journey delved into various facets of public policy and management, empowering participants to navigate complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
A crucial segment of the program involved an extensive 8-month study, during which participants conducted research and analysis. This process allowed them to propose viable solutions aimed at enhancing public program effectiveness and delivering greater public value.
The concluding campus visit from November 1-4, 2023, proved to be a dynamic and engaging experience for the participants. The agenda included project presentations, a power-packed session with the Director and faculty members, and a Director’s Dinner, fostering valuable interactions and building new relationships.
The closing ceremony on 4th November 2023 was graced by BIPARD Deputy Director Manjusha Chandra, Senior Assistant Director Arya Gautam, and Assistant Director Ajay Kumar Singh. During the ceremony, they shared their experiences and insights. Manjusha highlighted the visionary approach of KK Pathak, Director General of BIPARD, aimed at transforming administrative and governance excellence in Bihar. She also acknowledged the significant efforts of Gaya Commissioner cum ADG Bipard, Mayank Varwade, in advancing administrative efficiency in Bihar.
Arya Gautam, Assistant Director at BIPARD, and Dr. Amit Srivastava, Chairperson of Executive Education at IIM Bodh Gaya, expressed gratitude for the contributions of every individual to the success of the program. They recalled the collaborative efforts that enriched the learning experience and emphasized the importance of continued partnerships for future endeavors.
