IIM Bodh Gaya joins hand with Medanta to make significant impact in the healthcare management education space in India

Bodh Gaya: IIM Bodh Gaya, in line with its mission and vision embedded in mindfulness, including both mental and physical wellness, started the industry-specific 2-year full-time MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) in 2023 with 85 students enrolled in the first batch through the CAT exam. The MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) programme is designed in a way that it provides a holistic appreciation of the entire healthcare industry including large corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, digital health, and healthcare consulting.

As the institute aims to make the MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) programme industry relevant, IIM Bodh Gaya has signed an MoU with Medanta (Global Health Ltd.). With this MoU, subject matter Experts from Medanta will be delivering lectures on relevant topics to the students which will enrich the programme content by incorporating and discussing real-life cases as part of the course delivery.

Medanta will also be offering summer internships to the students of IIM Bodh Gaya enrolled in the MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) programme at its hospital and healthcare facilities across India and abroad.

IIM Bodh Gaya and Medanta will be actively collaborating to organize joint events such as Healthcare Management conclaves, round table discussions, seminars, workshops and conferences aiming to foster knowledge-sharing, innovation and discussions on pertinent issues in the hospital and healthcare management domain.

Prof. Vinita Sahay, Director IIM Bodh Gaya and Dr. Ravi Shankar Singh Medical Director of Jay Prabha Medanta Super Specialty Hospital, Patna said this collaboration is very strategic and futuristic in nature. As the institute is committed to create academic excellence and social impact, this MoU between two key organizations in their respective domains will play a significant role. According to Prof. Swapnarag Swain Chairperson of the MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) IIM Bodh Gaya, this collaboration opens up new avenues in the realm of healthcare management education in India.
