IIT Patna and IIIT Ranchi Collaborate to Launch Hybrid MTech, MBA, and MCA Programs in Patna

Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi to jointly launch innovative MTech, MBA, and MCA programs. These programs will be offered in a hybrid mode, combining online and on-campus instruction to provide students with a flexible educational experience. This initiative is being developed in collaboration with Microtek Educational Society, which will serve as a key resource provider.

The MoU was signed in August by Professor T.N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna; Professor Rajiv Shrivastava, Director of IIIT Ranchi; and Neeraj Rajhans, Secretary of Microtek Educational Society. They were accompanied by Professor A.K. Thakur, Dean Academics & Administration; Dr. N K Tomar, Dean Resources; Dr. Dinesh Kotanis; Dr. Satyendra Kumar; and other esteemed faculty and officers. This agreement aims to broaden access to quality education in India by leveraging technology and offering programs that meet the evolving demands of the industry.

Professor T.N. Singh emphasized the significance of this collaboration in preparing a new generation of professionals equipped with technical and managerial expertise. He stated, “Our partnership with IIIT Ranchi and the support from Microtek Educational Society will provide students with the opportunity to pursue MTech, MBA, and MCA degrees that are both flexible and aligned with the latest industry trends. This initiative reflects our commitment to making quality education accessible to a broader audience.”

Professor Rajiv Shrivastava expressed enthusiasm for the joint programs, noting that they will allow students to specialize in cutting-edge fields and acquire skills that are in high demand across industries. He remarked, “This partnership with IIT Patna is a significant step in strengthening academic collaboration between our institutions.”

The new joint degree programs in MTech, MBA, and MCA will be open for admissions in the upcoming academic session, focusing on attracting students eager to blend academic excellence with practical, industry-focused knowledge.
