IIT Patna Denies Reports of CBI Raid, Calls It ‘Erroneous Information’

IIT Patna

Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has refuted reports of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raid on its premises, calling them erroneous and unverified. The institution issued an official statement on Saturday, dismissing the claims circulated on social media and news portals.

In a press release from the Office of the Associate Dean of Resources, IIT Patna stated that certain media outlets had published unverified information regarding a CBI raid, without citing any official confirmation from either the institute or the investigative agency.

“The reports published on March 14, 2025, are neither official nor authentic, and they amount to nothing more than a rumour against an institution of national importance,” the statement read.

IIT Patna urged the public and media to verify facts before spreading such claims and emphasized that the reports lacked any legitimate source.
