Patna: The International Day of Yoga was marked with various programs across Patna and the entire state of Bihar on Friday morning. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” was embraced by participants who began their day with yoga sessions aimed at promoting health and well-being.
At Digha Ghat in Patna, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad highlighted that yoga has been adopted in 200 countries around the world, urging everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine for a healthier lifestyle. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha were among the notable figures who took part in the yoga exercises.
The Municipal Corporation Commissioner, along with others, performed yoga at JP Setu Eastern Ghat. Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad encouraged residents to practice yoga along the banks of the Ganga, promoting a serene environment for the exercises.
Minister Nitit Nabin commented on the occasion, stating that International Yoga Day is a step towards realizing the dream of India becoming a world leader through the universal practice of yoga.
The Women and Child Development Corporation organized a program at Eco Park, where the MD, Bandana Preyashi, emphasized the benefits of yoga for maintaining both physical and mental health.
Additionally, the Patna High Court premises hosted a Yoga Day event where lawyers, legal officers, and other employees participated, demonstrating the widespread acceptance and integration of yoga into various facets of society.
