New Delhi: In the bustling halls of Pragati Maidan in Delhi, the second edition of the illustrious ‘World Food India 2023’ was launched on Friday, showcasing a vibrant array of global culinary delights. Among the spirited participants, Bihar marked its presence as a partner state, unveiling the striking ‘Invest Bihar Pavilion’ in hall number- 6.

The inauguration was conducted by Sandeep Poundrik, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar. The event was graced by the presence of high-ranking officials such as Pankaj Dixit, Director of Industries, Vivek Ranjan Maitrey, Director of Food Processing, Binay Kumar Mallik, Deputy Director, and other dignitaries from the department.

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, Additional Chief Secretary Sandeep Poundrik expressed the pavilion’s pivotal role in attracting global participants and investors to consider Bihar as a prime destination for investments. He underscored Bihar’s remarkable suitability for investment, emphasizing the state’s immense potential for growth and development.

The first day of the World Food India 2023 event witnessed a surge of interest in the Bihar Pavilion, particularly from foreign investors. Delegates from a multitude of countries, including Japan, flocked to the ‘Invest Bihar’ Pavilion to engage in discussions with officials from the industries department. The deliberations revolved around the extensive array of investment opportunities available within Bihar’s thriving industrial landscape.

A bustling crowd gathered at the MSME and startup stalls within the ‘Invest Bihar’ Pavilion, eager to explore the diverse range of products on display. Rakesh Masala’s novel product line garnered significant attention at the MSME stall, while MBA Makhanawala’s offerings, including nine distinct flavors of roasted Makhana and Makhana cookies, earned a devoted following at the startup stall. Shravan Kumar Roy, representing the startup company ‘MBA Makhanawala,’ highlighted the exceptional appeal of their Makhana-based products, which proved to be a big hit among attendees.
