IPRD Minister Maheshwar Hazari Releases 2024 Edition of Bihar Samachar, Showcasing State’s Developmental Milestones

Patna: The Minister of Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), Maheshwar Hazari, on Monday released the 2024 edition of the department’s annual magazine Bihar Samachar. The launch event was held at his chamber in Information Bhawan, Patna.
Addressing the gathering, Hazari said Bihar was “writing a new history of development” under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “Earlier, students had to migrate to other states for higher education. Today, we have state engineering colleges and 46 government polytechnic institutes operating in all 38 districts,” he said.
He also pointed to the JP Ganga Path project as a transformative infrastructure initiative, describing it as a “lifeline for Bihar.” The minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to good governance, citing its zero-tolerance policy on corruption and the rollout of Mission Nipun Bihar, a flagship programme in the education sector.
Hazari said the annual issue of Bihar Samachar details the developmental strides made by the state across various sectors in 2024. “The government’s goal is to ensure that no section of society is excluded from the benefits of public welfare schemes. This issue reflects that inclusive vision,” he added.
Those present at the release included IPRD Director Vaibhav Srivastava, Joint Secretary Vidhu Bhushan Prasad, Joint Director Ravi Bhushan Sahay, and Special Officer Kumaril Satyanandan.
