Patna:The Namo Bharat Metro Express, which currently runs between Jaynagar and Patna, may soon be extended to Buxar. The East Central Railway has sent a proposal to the Railway Board, and if approved, the extension could happen by the end of this month. This would connect Buxar and Ara with important towns like Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Begusarai, Mokama and Patna.

The Namo Metro is a fast and modern train that looks and feels like a metro but runs on regular tracks. It has 16 coaches and carries more than 2,000 passengers at a time. The train is very popular because of its comfort, speed, and features like automatic doors, charging points, and spacious interiors. More coaches can also be added if needed.

Right now, the train stops at Patna Junction for about five hours for cleaning and maintenance. Railway officials plan to use this time to extend the route up to Buxar. This could bring an extra 600 passengers every day and give better travel options to people in Ara and Buxar.

Officials say that extending the Namo Metro will help improve travel between more districts in Bihar. It will also support development in the region by making travel faster and easier for thousands of people.
