Patna: The JEE Advanced 2025, one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), is scheduled for Sunday, 18 May. In Bihar, more than 15,000 candidates will take the exam at 40 designated centres across nine cities.
According to officials, examination centres have been set up in Patna, Ara, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Purnia and Rohtas. The exam, conducted by IIT Kanpur this year, will be held in two shifts: from 9am to 12pm and from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
Authorities have advised candidates to reach their respective centres at least an hour prior to the start time. Entry will not be allowed under any circumstances after the scheduled reporting time.
Strict guidelines are in place to ensure the integrity of the examination. Candidates must carry a valid admit card and a government-issued photo ID such as an Aadhaar or PAN card. Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited, as are books and loose papers.
The computer-based test will consist of two papers covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Successful candidates will be eligible for admission to India’s premier IITs.
The response sheets will be published on May 22, followed by the provisional answer key on May 26. Candidates will have until May 27 to raise objections. The final answer key and results are expected on June 2.
