Jewelry Worth 60 Lakhs Looted at Gunpoint in Siwan

Siwan: Around 12:45 pm on Sunday, 4 to 5 armed miscreants looted jewelry worth approximately Rs 60 lakhs from Jai Maa Laxmi Jewelry Shop in Nautan Bazaar, Siwan. The robbers arrived on bikes and stormed the shop at gunpoint while customers were inside. The shop, run by brothers Pramod Kumar Verma and Manoj Verma, is located within their house.

Manoj Verma recounted the terrifying incident, explaining that he and his brother were attending to a customer when the miscreants barged in with weapons. In a panic, the brothers closed the cupboard and hid inside their home, which is attached to the shop. The robbers proceeded to steal gold and silver jewelry before fleeing on bikes. Despite several calls to the police during the robbery, no immediate help was received.

Manoj Verma has filed an official complaint with the police, estimating the loss to be between Rs 50-60 lakhs. Station in-charge Umesh Paswan confirmed the receipt of the complaint and stated that an investigation is underway, with efforts to apprehend the culprits.
