Jitan Ram Manjhi Announces HAM Will Contest 25 Seats in 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections
Jehanabad: The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) hosted a Vidhan Sabha-level conference at Gandhi Maidan in Makhdumpur on Thursday, with party patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi attending the event. Addressing the media, Manjhi stated that his party plans to contest 25 seats in the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, with preparations already underway.
The conference, part of HAM’s broader election strategy, will be held across all constituencies. Manjhi reiterated that the NDA alliance remains unified, dismissing rumours of discontent within its ranks. “Nitish Kumar is not angry with anyone. These are just baseless rumours,” he said, drawing a parallel to the NDA’s success in Maharashtra, which he believes will be mirrored in Bihar. He attributed the NDA’s failure in Jharkhand to certain shortcomings but remained confident about the alliance’s prospects in the next elections.
Manjhi also took aim at Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD, accusing him of being power-hungry. “He is not a leader born out of a movement. If his father hadn’t been the Chief Minister, no one would have known him. He has no achievements of his own,” said Manjhi.
In contrast, he praised the leadership of Nitish Kumar, asserting that development in Bihar is progressing steadily under the joint leadership of Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He pointed out that the central government continues to provide significant financial support for Bihar’s development.
Looking ahead to the 2025 elections, Manjhi declared that only the NDA alliance would form the next government in Bihar.
