
Patna: The Purnea Division Final of the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025 concluded on Friday with an engaging display of knowledge and teamwork, as 13 school teams from four districts battled it out in a spirited quiz competition.
Students Anjani Kumar and Lucky Kumar Jha from Tarachand Dhanuka Academy, Thakurganj, Kishanganj, emerged as winners, outshining their peers with quick thinking and strong coordination.
Afrin Mokim and Prachi Priya of ND Rungta High School, Jalalgarh, Purnea, secured second place, while Krish Kumar and Rishu Raj from Lilju High School Budhia, also in Purnea, finished third.
The event, held in Purnea, saw participation from teams across Araria, Purnea, Kishanganj and Katihar districts. It drew the presence of several senior officials, including Kundan Kumar, District Magistrate, Purnea; Kartikeya Sharma, Superintendent of Police; Parth Gupta, Sub-Divisional Magistrate; Raj Kumar Gupta, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order); and Prafulla Mishra, District Education Officer.
The quiz is part of Bihar’s wider initiative to encourage holistic development among school students by combining academic and sporting activities. The competition tests awareness, intelligence and collaborative skills.
The next divisional final is scheduled for April 15 in Gaya under the Magadh Division, as teams from across Bihar continue to compete for a place in the state-level finale.
