Kumbh Mela Special Trains Announced Between Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, and Gaya

Seats Fully Booked in 12 Trains From Patna to Prayagraj Ahead of Maha Kumbh Mela

Hajipur: In anticipation of the Mahakumbh-2025, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of Kumbh Mela Special trains to accommodate the expected surge in pilgrims. Weekly special trains will run between Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli), and Gaya, providing greater convenience to devotees traveling for the religious event.

Train No. 06005/06006 Kanyakumari-Gaya-Kanyakumari Weekly Kumbh Mela Special will depart from Kanyakumari at 20:30 hours on January 6 and 20, 2025, reaching Gaya at 01:30 hours on Thursday. The return service (Train No. 06006) will leave Gaya at 23:55 hours on January 9 and 23, 2025, reaching Kanyakumari at 03:50 hours on Sunday. This train will pass through key stations, including Madurai, Chennai Egmore, Warangal, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.

Similarly, Train No. 06021/06022 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli)-Gaya-Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) Weekly Kumbh Mela Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 14:00 hours on January 7, January 21, and February 4, 2025. It will reach Gaya at 01:30 hours on Friday. The return journey (Train No. 06022) will depart from Gaya at 23:55 hours on January 10, January 24, and February 7, 2025, reaching Thiruvananthapuram North at 10:15 hours on Monday. This train will pass through stations such as Ernakulam Town, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Gondia, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.

The Railways has ensured that these trains cover crucial transit points for pilgrims, offering a smooth journey to Gaya. These services underscore the commitment of Indian Railways to facilitate the travel needs of devotees during Mahakumbh-2025.
