Lakhisarai: The three-day Lakhisarai Children’s Film Festival concluded on a vibrant note under the chairmanship of Munger Division Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh. The festival, which began on Children’s Day (November 14) and ended on National Press Day (November 16), was an initiative by the Lakhisarai district administration to foster creativity and promote education among children.

Mithilesh Mishra, the Director and District Officer of the festival, welcomed special guests with robes and mementos, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the event. The festival focused on the themes of Nipun Bharat (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Numerical Knowledge) and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, encouraging children’s interest in reading, creativity, and cinema.

The final day of the festival saw an enthusiastic turnout, with children enjoying screenings of acclaimed films such as Gandhi, Chidiyakhana, Chak De India, Kasturi, and Rang. Venues for the screenings included the Lakhisarai Museum, Mahadev Talkies, and Raj Cinema, where the lively atmosphere reflected the festival’s success in combining education and entertainment.

Notable guests at the closing ceremony included local resident and Shantiniketan Professor Dr. Anil, along with senior officials such as Additional Collector Sudhanshu Shekhar, Deputy Development Commissioner Kundan Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer Chandan Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Vinod Prasad, District Art and Culture Officer Mrinal Ranjan, Assistant Director of Social Security Nancy Murmu, and DRDA Director. Their presence added to the significance of the event, highlighting the collective support for this creative and educational initiative.
