Lallan Singh Presents Book to PM Modi as Bihar NDA MPs Meet Ahead of Elections
New Delhi/ Patna: With Bihar set to go to the polls later this year, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has intensified its preparations. As part of these efforts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met NDA MPs from Bihar at the Parliament House complex on Friday.
During the meeting, MPs presented several gifts to the prime minister. Janata Dal (United) leader and Union Minister Rakiv Ranjan alias Lallan Singh handed Modi a special coffee table book based on the Swamitva Yojana. The book details the e-distribution programme of ownership property cards conducted on 18 January 2025, highlighting key achievements of the scheme.
It also documents events held across 10 states and two union territories, showcasing the participation of governors, chief ministers, union ministers and lieutenant governors. The book emphasises the positive impact of the scheme on beneficiaries nationwide.
Following the meeting, Lallan Singh shared a post on social media, stating, “Today, I met the Prime Minister in Parliament House and presented him a coffee table book based on the Swamitva Yojana.”
Around 30 NDA MPs from Bihar attended the gathering, which is being viewed as a strategic move ahead of the assembly elections. The MPs also gifted Modi a Mithila Paag (traditional headgear of the Mithila region), a Mithila painting, and a garland made of Makhana (fox nuts), all symbols of Bihar’s cultural heritage.
