Lalu Family Unites After Tej Pratap’s Expulsion; Rohini Acharya, Tejashwi Yadav Back Patriarch’s Decision

Patna: The family of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has reportedly united in support of his recent decision to expel his elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, from both the party and the family for a period of six years.

The expulsion comes in the wake of a social media controversy involving Tej Pratap Yadav, who had shared a picture with Anushka Yadav on Facebook, claiming a 12-year relationship. While Tej Pratap later alleged his Facebook page was hacked, a series of “strange pictures” subsequently went viral, prompting the RJD patriarch’s stern action.

Sources close to the family indicate a clear stance from Lalu Prasad’s younger son and political heir, Tejashwi Yadav, who has reportedly stated his intolerance for such conduct. Adding to the family’s unified front, Lalu Prasad’s beloved daughter, Rohini Acharya, has publicly endorsed her father’s decision.

Taking to Instagram, Rohini Acharya penned a strong message, emphasizing the importance of upholding family dignity and tradition. “Those who take care of the dignity of the environment, tradition, family and upbringing are never questioned,” she wrote. “Those who abandon their wisdom and repeatedly cross the limits of decent conduct and family’s prestige, make themselves the subject of criticism.”

Rohini further underscored her unwavering respect for her father and the values he represents. “For us, Papa is like God, family is our temple and pride and the party built by Papa’s tireless efforts and struggles and the concept of social justice is our worship,” she stated. “We cannot accept that the prestige of these three is tarnished because of anyone.”
