Lalu Opts Out of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple Inauguration
Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has confirmed that he will not be attending the Ram Temple inauguration program in Ayodhya on January 22, making his stance clear during statements made on Wednesday.
As the political landscape heats up with discussions surrounding the seat- sharing arrangement in INDIA bloc, Lalu said: “Does seat- sharing happen so quickly? Everything is happening.”
When probed about any discontent with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lalu chose not to provide a direct response.
The political atmosphere surrounding the Ram Temple inauguration is particularly charged across the country, given that 2024 marks the year of the Lok Sabha elections. Lalu’s party- RJD has been actively contributing various statements regarding Lord Ram, Ramcharitmanas, and the Ayodhya temple in this context.
The comments from Education Minister Prof Chandrashekhar, RJD MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, and Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav have also been widely discussed. Tejashwi, notably, had questioned the intent of visiting the temple, stating, “If you go there, donations will be taken from you.”
