‘Leading from the Back’ Book Launched in Patna, Set to Redefine Leadership
Patna: Corporate leader and management guru Ravikant’s book Leading from the Back was launched at Hotel Taj City Center in Patna. Education Minister Sunil Kumar, the chief guest, described the book as a groundbreaking work that will provide a new dimension to leadership. He emphasized that the approach of leading from the back delivers sustainable and effective results, aligning with the demands of modern times. Both the Hindi and English versions of the book were released during the event.
Speaking at the launch, Ravikant highlighted the importance of empowering youth and encouraging teamwork in leadership. He stated that ego-driven leadership styles must be replaced with approaches that foster collaboration and inclusivity. Citing examples from companies like Titan and India’s space missions, he explained that success is attainable when leaders work alongside their teams and motivate them to achieve shared goals. Ravikant also called for institutional training of young managers through public-private partnership (PPP) models.
The event witnessed participation from industry stalwarts, including Bihar Industries Association President KPS Kesari, Bihar Chamber of Commerce President Subhash Patwari, and Bihar Mahila Udyogya Sangh President Usha Jha. KPS Kesari remarked that the book is timely and will serve as a milestone in redefining workplace ownership and employee engagement. Subhash Patwari delivered the welcome address, expressing optimism about the book’s impact on leadership practices.
Other notable attendees included former Bihar State Electricity Board Chairman Swapan Mukherjee, General Secretary of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce Pashupati Pandey, and Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital CEO Mrityunjay Tiwari. They applauded Ravikant’s insights on fostering collaboration and reshaping the role of leaders in achieving organizational success. The launch concluded with a discussion on leadership trends led by senior journalist Rakesh Praveer, leaving the audience inspired to embrace teamwork as a driver of transformation.
