Patna: In a literary celebration set to captivate the hearts of bookworms and cultural enthusiasts in Patna, St. Karen’s High School, in collaboration with Scholastic, is gearing up for the “Festivals of Books and Reading” scheduled from December 15 to 17.

The three-day spectacle, to be hosted at St. Karen’s High School on Gola Road, Danapur, Patna, promises a literary haven from 10 am to 5 pm each day, catering to students from Pre-Nursery to Class 8.

Renowned authors are set to grace the festival, engaging students in enlightening and interactive sessions. The impressive lineup includes the likes of Scharada Dubey, Lalita Iyer, and storytellers Simi Srivastava and Rituparna Ghosh. Cartoonist Ajit Narayan will share insights into the art of cartooning, and a gripping quizzing session will be conducted by the esteemed quizmaster Adittya Nath Mubayi. Sharon Rose Galstaun, Academic Director of St. Karen’s High School, extended a warm invitation, stating, “I would like to invite children and parents for this one-of-a-kind festival, celebrating the magic of stories. There will be plenty of exciting activities and sessions by esteemed authors, ensuring a delightful experience.”

Seema Singh, Principal at St. Karen’s High School, echoed the sentiments, saying, “We are letting this festival not only be a motivational experience for students but it is also an opportunity for a joyful family outing, as we have made it mandatory that students should come along with their parents or other relatives at home.”

Sharing his views about the festival, Sanjay Joseph, Vice Principal at St. Karen’s High School, emphasized, “This festival isn’t just about books; it’s about fostering dreams, instilling a belief that they, too, can contribute to society in meaningful ways. The invisible inspiration gained here is a treasure trove, a wellspring of creativity and determination that resonates long after the event concludes. These encounters become the catalysts for resolutions—whispers of ‘I want to do something like that’ or ‘I can make a difference.'”

He added, “As we welcome renowned celebrities, authors, and creators to our festival, let’s not underestimate the profound impact these connections can have on the future. Beyond the hunger for success, we hope to instill a hunger to serve—a deep-rooted desire to make a positive mark on the world.”
