Lok Sabha Elections: Chirag Paswan Leads LJP-Ram Vilas to Impressive Victory
Patna: In a striking result from the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) – Ram Vilas has achieved a perfect strike rate, winning all the seats it contested. This marks the first time Chirag Paswan has led his party in a general election without the guidance of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan.
Chirag Paswan secured five seats through an alliance with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Remarkably, LJP candidates emerged victorious in all these constituencies. Notably, Chirag Paswan himself is set to win from Hajipur with a significant margin, though official confirmation is pending.
Political analysts view Chirag’s expected win in Hajipur as a testament to his emergence as the rightful political successor to Ram Vilas Paswan. In the 2019 elections, LJP had similarly won all six seats it contested.
Chirag Paswan, who is on track to enter Parliament for the third time, is joined by his brother-in-law, Arun Bharti, who has secured victory from the Jamui constituency. This will be the first instance of both relatives serving in Parliament together.
Having previously represented Jamui for two terms, Chirag opted to field his brother-in-law in that constituency this time. Additionally, other LJP candidates, including Veena Devi from Vaishali, Shambhavi Chaudhary from Samastipur, and Rajesh Verma from Khagaria, are also heading towards victory.
In the previous election cycle, Chirag’s uncle, Pashupati Kumar Paras, had contested from Hajipur and won. This time, Chirag has taken up the mantle and continued the family’s winning legacy in the constituency.
