Shifting Sands in Bihar: Nitish Kumar Steady, BJP Loses Ground

Patna: As the counting of votes continues for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s influence remains unchallenged. The BJP appears to be losing ground, while Lalu Yadav’s presence remains strong. Amid the shifting political landscape, BJP’s state president and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has met with CM Nitish Kumar at Ek Ane Marg.

In a notable defeat, Modi cabinet minister RK Singh has lost the Ara seat to Left candidate Sudama Singh. Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav’s daughter, Misa Bharti, has secured a victory in Patliputra.

A crucial meeting is currently underway between Nitish Kumar and Samrat Chaudhary. Other victorious candidates include Manjhi from Gaya, Sunil Kumar from Valmiki Nagar, Sanjay Jaiswal from West Champaran, and Chirag Paswan from Hajipur.

While an official announcement is still pending, media reports indicate that Amit Shah has congratulated Manjhi over the phone. An NDA leaders’ meeting has been scheduled in Delhi for tomorrow.
