Magahi Mahotsav in Patna on April 5 to Showcase Traditional Art, Literature, and Heritage

Patna : Prominent figures from the fields of language, literature, and art will gather at Bapu Tower in Patna on April 5 for the Magahi Mahotsav, an event aimed at celebrating and promoting the rich cultural legacy of the Magadh region. The festival will include discussions, cultural performances, and live demonstrations showcasing various traditional art forms.

The event will offer a platform to engage with Magahi language, literature, culture, cinema, folk art, and archaeology. Attendees can expect in-depth conversations about the evolution and preservation of Magahi traditions, as well as interactive sessions designed to connect the younger generation with their cultural roots.

One of the highlights will be live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as Patna Kalam painting, Tikuli art, and Bawan Booti weaving, reflecting the intricate craftsmanship of the region. These hands-on sessions aim to provide a deeper understanding of the artistic heritage associated with Magahi culture.

A special Yuva Samvad session will focus on involving the youth in discussions about preserving and revitalising Magahi traditions. Additionally, local artists will have an opportunity to showcase their talents through folk songs and a Magahi Kavi Sammelan (poetry recital), ensuring that the region’s artistic expressions receive due recognition.

Distinguished personalities from across the country, known for their contributions to Magahi language and culture, will participate in the event, sharing their experiences and insights.
