Maha Shivaratri 2025: Patna Administration Enhances Security, Traffic, and Cleanliness Measures
Patna: The Patna district administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations for the upcoming Maha Shivaratri festival on February 26th. A high-level meeting chaired by the District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police was held today to review the comprehensive security and logistical arrangements.
The administration will implement a multi-pronged approach to manage the expected influx of devotees. This includes deploying a large contingent of magistrates and police personnel, establishing a robust surveillance system with CCTV cameras and drone monitoring, and setting up a control room to monitor the situation in real-time.
Traffic management will be a key focus area, with the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation instructed to operate additional buses to cater to the increased passenger demand. The Patna Municipal Corporation has been tasked with ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in and around the temple areas.
A total of 31 tableaux are expected to participate in the procession, culminating at the Khajpura Shiv Mandir. A four-member team, headed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Patna Sadar, has been formed to oversee the arrangements, including venue inspections, security measures, and coordination with various departments.
The administration has urged citizens to cooperate with the authorities and celebrate the festival peacefully and responsibly.
