Man Shot Dead Over Land Dispute in Patna’s Pandarak Area

Patna: A middle-aged man, identified as Sunil Kumar alias Karu, was shot dead in the head over an alleged land dispute in Chintamanchak village, Pandarak police station area, Patna.

The incident occurred when Sunil, son of Nirala Yadav, stepped out of his house early in the morning. Family members claim that Sunil had an ongoing land dispute with his relatives, which had led to frequent confrontations.

According to witnesses, the assailants, who had been lying in wait, ambushed Sunil as he stepped out for his morning routine and shot him point-blank in the head. Sunil Kumar died on the spot. His death has left his family devastated, with his relatives in a state of shock and mourning.

Upon receiving the information, the Pandarak police arrived at the spot and took custody of the body, sending it to the sub-divisional hospital in Barh for a post-mortem examination. Barh’s newly appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Rakesh Kumar, also visited the crime scene and began an investigation into the incident.

ASP Rakesh Kumar informed reporters, “The police responded immediately after receiving the information. The body was taken to the sub-divisional hospital, where doctors confirmed Sunil Kumar’s death. We are gathering information from the family about the individuals involved in the incident. A case will be registered at Pandarak police station, and we will take appropriate legal action against the culprits.”

The police are currently investigating the matter and are pursuing leads to arrest the suspects responsible for the murder.
