Massive Turnout for Bakrid Prayers in Patna Amid Tight Security
Patna: People from the Muslim community offered prayers at Gandhi maidan in Patna, in huge numbers on the occasion of Bakrid (Eid al-Adha) on Monday.
A large number of people gathered outside the new Tola Masjid in Phulwari Sharif to offer prayers. In the Bairak Ground of Danapur Cantt area as well, the prayers were conducted with a big crowd.
Tight security arrangements were made for this occasion. After offering prayers, people hugged each other and exchanged greetings for Bakrid. From children to the elderly, enthusiasm was seen in people of all ages.
Followed by this, the administration was on alert mode. Police personnel were deployed at different locations in the city. Senior officials were personally monitoring the situation.
Social media was also monitored to prevent any communal tensions.
