Patna: Authorities in Patna have launched an investigation into the alleged gangrape of a minor girl who had been missing for two days and was found intoxicated at a hotel in the Digha area on Thursday evening.
The incident reportedly took place at a hotel under the jurisdiction of the Digha police station. According to police, the girl, a resident of Patna, was located with the assistance of emergency services via Dial 112. She was subsequently taken to a Primary Health Centre for medical evaluation, as she was found in a heavily intoxicated state and unable to provide a clear account of events.
Digha police station officer-in-charge Santosh Singh said no formal complaint has yet been filed by the family. However, they have named a boy with whom the girl had left home two days earlier. She had not returned until being found by authorities.
“Due to her condition, the girl is unable to recall the sequence of events clearly,” Singh told local media. “But she has indicated that something wrong happened to her at the hotel.”
Investigators suspect the involvement of the boy and his friends. The hotel where the incident is believed to have occurred is currently under investigation, with police reviewing CCTV footage and questioning staff.
The accused individuals remain at large, and police efforts to locate and apprehend them are ongoing.
