Modi’s Third Term Sees Eight Cabinet Ministers from Bihar: Giriraj and Nityanand Retained, Six New Faces, No Rajput Representation

New Delhi: Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister of India for the third time today. Following the ceremony, eight MPs from Bihar took the oath as ministers. Jitan Ram Manjhi, Giriraj Singh, Rajeev Ranjan alias Lalan Singh, and Chirag Paswan were inducted as Cabinet ministers.
In addition, Nityanand Rai, Ramnath Thakur, Satish Chandra Dubey, and Raj Bhushan Chaudhary were sworn in as ministers of state. Manjhi, the first from Bihar, took the oath, followed by the other MPs.
In Modi’s third term, Giriraj and Nityanand have been retained from previous cabinets. The six new faces in the ministry are Raj Bhushan Chaudhary, Satish Chandra Dubey, Jeetan Ram Manjhi, Lalan Singh, Chirag Paswan, and Ramnath Thakur.
Bihar has received significant representation with eight MPs in Modi’s new government. This group includes two Bhumihars, two Dalits, one Yadav, one EBC, one Brahmin, and one Mallah. Notably, for the first time in Modi’s tenure, there is no Rajput representation among the ministers.
