Mumbai Woman Allegedly Gangraped in Patna by Boyfriend and Friend

Gangrape of Woman Reported in Patna's Bikram Area; One Accused Identified

Patna: A case of alleged gangrape has emerged in the Kadamkuan area of Patna, involving a young woman who traveled from Mumbai on the insistence of her boyfriend, Deepak Kumar. The victim, originally from Ara but living in Kolkata with her family, had been working in Mumbai. She reported that after arriving in Patna on October 20, Deepak arranged her stay but soon became unreachable. The victim then contacted Deepak’s friend, Shravan Kumar, who invited her to his hostel on October 27, where the incident took place.

According to the FIR, the woman was given a cold drink by Shravan, which caused her to lose consciousness. When she awoke the next morning, she found herself unclothed with Shravan beside her. Suspecting she had been assaulted, she confronted Shravan, who offered no explanation. The woman believes both Deepak and Shravan were involved in the assault.

Following her complaint, police arrested Deepak and Shravan, placing them in judicial custody. The victim has since recorded her statement in Patna’s civil court, and authorities are conducting further investigation based on her testimony.

The case, which allegedly occurred on October 27, came to light on November 1, prompting local authorities to take swift action against the accused as they proceed with legal measures.
