Patna: Bihar suffered a 9-wicket defeat against Hyderabad in their fourth match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T-20 at Niranjan Shah Stadium, Ground C, Rajkot. Hyderabad claimed a comprehensive victory, securing 4 points, with T Ravi Teja being named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Batting first, Bihar posted a modest total of 118 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Kumar Rajnish top-scored with 22 runs, followed by Sachin Kumar Singh with 16 and Captain Sakibul Gani with 15. Other notable contributions came from Sarman Nigrodh (14), Ayush Loharuka (9), Raghavendra Pratap (8), and Nawaz Khan, who remained unbeaten on 2 runs. Hyderabad’s bowlers dominated, with T Ravi Teja taking 4 wickets, Chama Milind and Ajay Dev Gaud claiming 2 each, and A Nitin Sai Yadav picking up 1.

In reply, Hyderabad chased down the target comfortably, scoring 119 runs for 1 wicket in just 12.3 overs. Half-centuries from Tilak Verma (not out 51) and K. Rohit Rayudu (not out 56) sealed the win. Tanmay Agarwal, who made 8 runs, was the only batter dismissed, with Nawaz Khan taking the lone wicket for Bihar.

Bihar will look to bounce back when they face Mizoram in their next match on December 1.
