Muzaffarpur–Pune Special Train to Now Operate from Hadapsar Terminal

Hajipur: In a significant shift for passengers travelling between Bihar and Maharashtra, Indian Railways has announced a change in the terminal station for the Muzaffarpur–Pune Special train service. Effective this week, the train will no longer depart from the central Pune station but from Hadapsar, a suburban locality in the eastern part of the city.

Train number 05289, which runs from Muzaffarpur, will terminate at Hadapsar instead of Pune starting May 5. Meanwhile, its return counterpart, train number 05290, will begin its journey from Hadapsar instead of Pune from May 7.

The decision, announced by, Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra, comes into effect immediately and aims to ease congestion at the main Pune junction and streamline operations. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules and make travel arrangements accordingly.

While the shift may cause minor inconvenience for some, authorities suggest it could improve punctuality and reduce overcrowding in the long run.
