
Nalanda: A high-level review meeting was held on April 16 to finalise preparations for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Nalanda district.
Jointly chaired by M. Mallar Willi, Additional Director General of Police-cum-Director of the Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir, and Shashank Shubhankar, District Magistrate of Nalanda, the meeting brought together key officials to discuss arrangements related to accommodation, food, security, sanitation, and logistics for participating athletes.
The Khelo India Youth Games 2025 are scheduled to be held at the Sports Academy in Rajgir from May 4 to May 15. Events including fencing, hockey, weightlifting, table tennis, and kabaddi will be hosted across venues in the Nalanda district.
Officials were instructed to bolster arrangements across departments, covering areas such as law and order, transportation, water supply, lighting, parking, publicity, and toilet facilities. The meeting aimed to ensure smooth coordination among all stakeholders for the successful conduct of the national sporting event.
Senior administrative officers including the Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector, and officials from the Disaster Management and Confidential Branch, as well as representatives of BSS, were in attendance.
