Natraj Nritya Club Inaugurated at Patna Women's College, Celebrating Dance and Culture

Patna: Patna Women’s College inaugurated the Natraj Nritya Club in a ceremony held at BJ Sullivan Hall, aimed at promoting cultural and artistic development among students. The club will focus on both classical and traditional dance forms from India and around the world, providing students with a platform to explore their artistic talents.

The event was attended by Enakshi Dey Biswas and Komal Kumari, coordinators of the Natraj Nritya Club. Biswas delivered an insightful talk on the history and cultural significance of dance, while also highlighting the evolution of various global dance forms. Komal Kumari provided an overview of the club’s rules and regulations, helping new members understand its role in fostering cultural awareness through dance.

Kriti Kashyap, a resource person, mesmerized the audience with her performance, in which she explained the significance of the Natyashastra and demonstrated the nine emotions, or Navras, through her dance. Her performance was a highlight of the event, leaving the audience captivated.

The Natraj Nritya Club aims to nurture and promote a variety of dance forms, including classical, folk, and contemporary styles, allowing students of Patna Women’s College to showcase their talents and deepen their connection to the world of dance.
