Patna: In a determined bid to ensure that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 is conducted in a secure, fair, and malpractice-free environment, the Patna district administration has rolled out a comprehensive security and supervision plan for Sunday’s nationwide examination.
District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar jointly addressed a high-level briefing at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall on Friday, underscoring the administration’s commitment to a smooth and transparent examination process.
The test, scheduled for May 4, will be held in a single shift from 2pm to 5pm at 96 centres across the district. Candidate entry will be permitted from 11am to 1.30pm. Officials have emphasised strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
To uphold the sanctity of the examination, 104 static magistrates, 20 nodal officers, and 96 police officers have been deployed. An additional 15 reserve magistrates will be stationed at the district control room as a contingency measure.
“Our priority is to maintain a clean and peaceful environment throughout the exam. Any form of malpractice will not be tolerated,” said Dr Singh. He urged all officials to remain alert, proactive, and fully committed to their responsibilities.
Senior law enforcement officials, including Sub-Divisional Officers and Deputy Superintendents of Police, will oversee examination centres in their respective jurisdictions. City Superintendents of Police from Central, East, and West Patna will also supervise law and order operations on the day.
The Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) has been appointed as the district nodal officer for NEET-UG 2025. Traffic management, crowd control, and candidate welfare have been identified as key operational priorities for all personnel on duty.
“All officers must ensure that candidates face no inconvenience and that the exam proceeds without incident,” the DM and SSP stated in a joint directive.
