Gayaji: A new Namo Bharat rapid train is likely to run between Gayaji and Ayodhya, aiming to make travel faster, more comfortable, and affordable for pilgrims and daily passengers.

This new service will cover 408 km in just six hours and will help improve rail connectivity between two important religious cities.

Local groups have welcomed the move. DK Jain, President of the Grand Card Passenger Association, said it was a long-pending demand. “Gayaji, Kashi and Ayodhya are very important spiritual places. This train will make it easier for people with religious faith to travel between them,” he said.

This will be the second Namo Bharat service in Bihar. The first train runs between Jaynagar and Patna, stopping at places like Madhubani, Darbhanga and Barauni. The new train from Gayaji to Ayodhya will have 16 air-conditioned coaches. All seats will be unreserved, but the journey will still be cool and comfortable.

The train will run six days a week, except Sundays. It will leave Gaya at 5am and reach Ayodhya by 11am. The return train will leave Ayodhya at 5pm and arrive in Gaya by 11pm. Major stations on the route include Sasaram, Varanasi, Jaunpur and Akbarpur. The ticket price will be Rs 500, making it an affordable option for everyone.
