
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined thousands of devotees at Dakbunglow crossing on Sunday to take part in the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra, organised by the Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Samiti.
CM Nitish offered aarti and performed symbolic rituals to welcome the procession, receiving a warm reception from the crowd. As vibrant tableaux, chants, and traditional music marked the festive atmosphere, the chief minister acknowledged greetings from attendees, waving to well-wishers and extending Ram Navami wishes to the people of Bihar.
The event drew several prominent political figures from across party lines. Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary were among the key attendees. Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin, and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha also joined the celebrations.
BJP State President Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, former Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad, and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain were present alongside Patna Mayor Sita Sahu. Others in attendance included JD (U) State General Secretary Kamal Nopani and Arvind Kumar, former General Secretary of the Bihar State Citizens Council.
The yatra, a significant cultural and religious event in Patna, was marked by elaborate processions and participation from social and political groups, reaffirming the festival’s unifying spirit and its growing public significance.
