Patna, 28th January 2024: Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the ninth time today. The ceremony also saw the induction of two seasoned BJP leaders, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, who took the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. The event, graced by the presence of BJP leaders including JP Nadda, marked a new chapter in Bihar’s political landscape.

This development follows the dissolution of the Grand Alliance government earlier in the day. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to the Governor, citing the increasing challenges in sustaining the Grand Alliance. In response, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Kumar, expressing support for the new political landscape in Bihar.

The swearing-in ceremony not only signifies a change in leadership but also underscores the political realignment in the state. Nitish Kumar’s decision to sever ties with the Grand Alliance reflects the evolving dynamics of Bihar’s political alliances.
