Nitish Kumar’s Boast of NDA Securing 200 Seats in Bihar Met with Prashant Kishore’s Challenge: ‘If JDU Gets Even 20 MLAs, I’ll Retire from Politics’

Nitish Kumar's Boast of NDA Securing 200 Seats in Bihar Met with Prashant Kishore's Challenge

Patna: Amidst the ebb and flow of Bihar’s political landscape, former poll strategist and Jan Suraj campaign convenor, Prashant Kishore, has delivered a scathing assessment of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s electoral prospects. In a candid declaration, Kishore asserted that regardless of Nitish’s alliances, the Janata Dal United (JDU) is destined to secure less than 20 seats in the upcoming assembly elections, or else he would exit from the political arena.

Dropping a bombshell on the political discourse, Kishore minced no words in castigating Nitish Kumar’s wavering loyalties and alleged political opportunism. “Whether Nitish Kumar aligns with the BJP, the Grand Alliance, or any other faction, the people of Bihar are not naive. Today, the electorate feels betrayed by Nitish Kumar’s incessant flip-flopping. He may consider himself cunning, but he is merely deceptive, hoodwinking the entire population of Bihar,” Kishore said.

Highlighting the palpable discontent brewing against Nitish, Kishore painted a grim picture of public sentiment. “If there is one leader evoking maximum ire among the public, it is Nitish Kumar. From common citizens to party loyalists, everyone is vocalizing their grievances against him. The disillusionment is palpable,” Kishore asserted.

Kishore didn’t mince words in dissecting Nitish’s political trajectory, juxtaposing his past electoral triumphs with present-day uncertainties. “This is the same Nitish who commanded the allegiance of 206 MLAs solely on his name and face in 2010. Today, however, his once-loyal cadre is defecting to the BJP out of fear of electoral defeat,” Kishore lamented, underscoring the seismic shift in Bihar’s political landscape.

Offering a cautionary tale, Kishore warned of dire consequences if Nitish and the BJP part ways. “If Modi ji and the BJP sever ties, Nitish’s political calculus will unravel,” he cautioned.
