No Rain or Lightning Alert for Bihar; Monsoon Likely to Withdraw After October 11
Patna: Bihar is expected to experience normal weather conditions today, with no rain or lightning alerts issued for any district in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain stable across all regions, though temperatures will stay slightly above normal.
The maximum temperature in the state is forecasted to rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to remain within typical ranges. In the last 24 hours, Gopalganj recorded the highest temperature at 35.01°C, while Patna registered a maximum of 32.0°C.
The monsoon is expected to withdraw from Bihar after October 11. Dr. S.K. Patel, a meteorologist from the state’s weather department, mentioned that a cyclonic circulation is forming in the northeastern region, which will influence Bihar’s weather this week. He added that if there is no rainfall for the next 4 to 5 days and western winds begin to blow, the monsoon’s withdrawal will be confirmed.
Since June 1, the state has recorded a 20% deficit in rainfall. The Gangetic plains have seen particularly low levels of precipitation, with districts like Saran experiencing 53% less rain, Vaishali 49% less, Muzaffarpur 46% less, and Samastipur 44% less rainfall than usual.
