Bihar Teachers’ Transfer Process Begins, App Crashes Amid High Demand

Patna: An online examination will be conducted from February 26 to March 13 to confer the status of state employees on approximately three lakh appointed teachers in the state. The exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark, covering the prescribed curriculum for primary, middle, secondary, and higher secondary classes. The subjects for the exam include language, general studies, and relevant subjects as per the education department’s directives.

As per the guidelines issued by the Education Department, the Director of Secondary Education, Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava, mentioned that for teachers of classes 1 to 5, the examination will have 150 questions, with 30 from Part-1 (Language), 40 from Part-2 (General Studies), and 80 from Part-3 (General Subjects). For teachers of classes 6 to 8, 9 to 10, and 11 to 12, the exam will have 30 questions from Part 1 (Language), 40 from Part 2 (General Studies), and 80 from Part 3 (Related Subjects). All candidates are required to pay an examination fee of eleven hundred rupees.

The passing criteria have been set by the General Administration Department through Resolution No. 2374, dated July 16, 2007. The passing percentage is 40% for the general category, 36.5% for the backward category, 34% for backward category Annexure-1, and 32% for candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Divyang (differently-abled), and women.

The successful candidates will receive a Certificate of Eligibility from the Bihar Board. The online examination form will be filled out from February 1 to February 15. From February 5 to February 16, candidates will download the examination admit card.

During the online examination form submission, candidates must upload the necessary documents, including an Aadhar card, Matriculation certificate, TET, CTET, STET eligibility certificate, academic certificate, and appointment letter issued by the appointment unit. Candidates must select three districts during form submission, and district allocation will be done by the Bihar School Examination Committee and the Education Department.
