
Patna: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Patna has released the results for the 2025 National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS), offering thousands of Bihar students clarity on their eligibility for government-funded educational support.
More than 5,100 candidates who sat the exam earlier this year can now access their scorecards via the official SCERT website, scert.bihar.gov.in. Results include key personal and academic information, including roll number, name, category, district, and performance in the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
The published scorecards detail:
Roll number and name
Date of birth and father’s name
Gender and category
District
Marks obtained in MAT and SAT
Total marks
Registered mobile and Aadhaar numbers
Students are encouraged to download and retain a copy of their scorecard for future reference.
Eligibility criteria for scholarship
To be considered for the NMMSS scholarship, students must meet specific cut-off scores based on their category:
•General and Others: 40% minimum — 36 out of 90 marks in both MAT and SAT
•SC/ST/PH: 32% minimum — 29 out of 90 marks in both sections
Those meeting or exceeding these thresholds will be eligible for financial assistance under the central government’s scholarship programme.
How to check results
Students can follow these steps to access their results online:
1. Visit scert.bihar.gov.in
2. Navigate to the “Result” section on the homepage
3. Select the NMMSS option from the dropdown
4. Enter your roll number and examination date
5. Click “Submit” to view your scorecard
6. Download or print a copy for your records
The NMMSS aims to support academically talented students from economically weaker sections by providing annual scholarships to help continue their education beyond Class 8.
