Pakistan Spy Suspect Jyoti's Bihar Trail Prompts Bhagalpur Police Alert

Bhagalpur: Authorities in Bihar have launched a security review after the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti on charges of spying for Pakistan revealed her connection to Bhagalpur district.

The woman, who reportedly travelled across religious and tourist destinations in Bihar between 2023 and 2024, had documented her journeys in a series of YouTube vlogs. Among the locations featured were Ajgaibinath Dham in Sultanganj and the pilgrimage route to Deoghar and Basukinath, raising fresh concerns over surveillance and potential intelligence gathering.

Police officials said Jyoti’s videos prominently feature the Kanwar Yatra, local ghats, markets, and hotels in the region. She is believed to have visited Sultanganj at least four times in the past two years. The footage has now come under scrutiny as investigators work to trace her local contacts and purpose of travel.

“Security at Ajgaibinath Dham has been tightened,” said Bhagalpur City SP Shubhank Mishra, who visited the site on Monday following instructions from SSP Hridaykant. “We are identifying individuals who appeared in her videos and questioning them.”

Sources also confirmed that Jyoti may have travelled to Nepal multiple times via Navgachiya, a route now under police watch.
