Patna: Fifteen people, including the son of a police officer, have been arrested after a raid on a hotel in Patna revealed a birthday party involving liquor, weapons, and underage attendees. Among those detained were four minors, one of whom is the son of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) havildar.

The raid was conducted by Jakkanpur police at the MS Inn Hotel in Ramnagar, acting on a tip-off about an illegal liquor party where youths were allegedly making social media videos while brandishing a pistol. The hotel had four rooms booked in the name of a minor boy, whose birthday was being celebrated.

Authorities recovered a pistol, a magazine, four live bullets, 17 mobile phones, and over 6.5 litres of Indian-made foreign liquor. According to officials, the pistol belonged to one of the attendees, Divyanshu, and was allegedly purchased for Rs 35,000 in Patna City with money provided by another participant, Raunak.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Abhinav said the main supplier of liquor and firearms managed to escape. The investigation has also revealed that some of those arrested may have past criminal records. Girls were reportedly also present at previous gatherings organised by the group.

The arrested individuals face charges under various sections related to illegal arms possession, underage drinking, and criminal conspiracy. Authorities have also launched an inquiry into the hotel’s role in facilitating the event.
