Patna Administration Gears Up for Ram Navami with Tight Security and Smooth Arrangements

Patna: Patna District Magistrate, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Avkash Kumar, have announced that all necessary arrangements will be made for the convenience and safety of devotees on the occasion of Chaitra Ram Navami. During a review meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday, the officials emphasized that crowd management, smooth traffic, and strong law and order maintenance will be the administration’s top priorities. They assured that facilities such as medical camps, control rooms, and “May I Help You” counters will be functional throughout the event.
The administration has decided to monitor the festival using drones, CCTV cameras, and videography. To maintain order, magistrates and police officers will be stationed at key public places. Patrolling teams will also be deployed to ensure security. The authorities have planned proper arrangements for pure drinking water, including water ATMs, tankers, and mobile toilets. Separate queue lines for male and female devotees will be arranged at Mahavir temple, and strong barricading will be in place.
The festival, scheduled for Apr 6, 2025, will feature 47 tableaux, as informed by the Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Samiti. The aarti of all 47 tableaux will be conducted at Dak Bungalow Square by the Abhinandan Samiti, followed by a Bhajan Sandhya at the same venue. The district administration has assured all necessary support for the smooth execution of these events.
To ensure efficient management, a four-member team led by Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna Sadar, will oversee all administrative arrangements. This team will include Superintendent of Police (City, Central), Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order), and General Manager of PESU. The team will inspect all necessary arrangements and take prompt action as needed.
For traffic management, the Superintendent of Police (Traffic) will ensure the deployment of an adequate number of officers and police personnel. A traffic plan will be prepared and broadcasted through the media to inform the public. Compliance with traffic rules will be strictly enforced.
The District Magistrate directed the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness around the program sites. Mobile toilets will be arranged at multiple locations. The Executive Engineer of PHED has been instructed to provide sufficient drinking water tankers and water ATMs for devotees.
The District Fire Officer has been ordered to deploy fire brigade units to deal with any emergency situations. The Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) and City Superintendent of Police (Central) will serve as nodal officers and ensure all administrative preparations. The meeting was attended by members of Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Samiti, including Jagjivan Singh ‘Babloo,’ Santlal Rai, Gopal Prasad, Rajesh Jain, Nitin Abhishek, Sanjay Saurabh, and several other officials.
