Patna District Magistrate Reviews Progress of Land Identification for Public Welfare Schemes

Patna: Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Collector-cum-District Magistrate of Patna, conducted a review meeting today to assess the progress of identifying land for various public welfare projects in the district. These projects include the construction of landless police stations, police outposts, police lines, fire stations, and other newly created government offices.

Dr. Singh instructed the Additional Collector to expedite the process of land identification through the Zonal Officers and ensure the prompt availability of suitable land that meets the required standards. He emphasized the need for quicker processing of land transfer cases, NOCs, and other related formalities. He further directed all Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) to speed up the resolution of pending land availability cases in their respective jurisdictions.

During the meeting, Dr. Singh reviewed the status of land identification across various subdivisions of Patna district. This includes land for the construction of police stations, fire stations, and other essential buildings in areas such as Chitragupta Nagar, Bypass, Cyber Thana, Gandhi Ghat Thana, Gandhi Setu, and Pataliputra Bus Stand OP/Thana in Patna Sadar and Patna City subdivisions. Other areas reviewed include Mainpura, Shahjahanpur, Karbhaiya, Lahsuna, Pipra, Kevra in Masaurhi subdivision, Traffic Thana in Danapur subdivision, and offices for 11 newly created Sub-Divisional Police Officers, along with police line buildings and block-cum-anchal offices.

Dr. Singh assured that significant progress has been made in identifying land for public welfare schemes in Patna district, with continuous efforts to ensure land is made available in accordance with state government objectives. He mentioned that he personally inspects the proposed sites and takes feedback from local residents and public representatives to ensure the suitability of the land for these projects.

The District Magistrate emphasized that providing land for public welfare projects is a top priority for the district administration. He stated that efforts are being made to provide suitable land for new offices and buildings in a way that is convenient for the general public. He also added that land acquisition is being carried out as per the requirements of the projects.

Dr. Singh directed the Sub-Divisional Officers and Sub-Divisional Police Officers to regularly monitor the land availability process and address any obstacles that may arise. He also instructed them to take strict legal action against any anti-social elements who might obstruct construction due to vested interests.

The District Magistrate concluded the meeting by reiterating that the identification of land for public welfare projects is of great importance for the benefit of the people, and the concerned zonal officers must act swiftly to ensure the timely completion of this process.
