Patna Gears Up for First-Ever Surya Kiran Aerobatic Display on Shaurya Diwas

Patna: Preparations are in full swing for the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team’s first-ever performance in Patna, with officials finalizing logistics during a high-level coordination meeting chaired by MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy at the Patna Collectorate Auditorium. The event, set to take place on April 23, has been declared a state function, with extensive planning between the state government and the Indian Air Force to ensure a grand spectacle.

The meeting was attended by the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police, Station Commander of Bihta Air Force Station, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, and other key officials. Rudy expressed pride in bringing the elite aerobatic team to Patna, calling it a historic moment for the city.

The aerobatic display, featuring nine aircraft, will unfold over the JP Ganga Path, promising a breathtaking show of precision flying and aerial maneuvers. The Surya Kiran team will arrive on April 21, with a full dress rehearsal on April 22 ahead of the grand one-hour performance on April 23, marking Shaurya Diwas.

The Patna District Administration, led by the District Magistrate, is overseeing preparations, including security arrangements, traffic management, and crowd control. Special awareness campaigns will be launched to encourage public participation, particularly among students.

A dedicated control room will be set up to monitor the event, with administrative teams led by the Deputy Development Commissioner ensuring seamless execution. Magistrates and police officers will be deployed across key locations to maintain order, ensuring that Patna witnesses an aerial display like never before.
