Patna Gears Up for Grand Celebration on January 22: Ram Temple Consecration Ceremony Festivities Unveiled
Patna: The city of Patna is abuzz with preparations for a momentous event scheduled for January 22, commemorating the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Shri Shri Mahashivratri Mahotsav Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Committee is orchestrating a grand celebration, featuring bhajan-kirtan, a lamp festival, and various religious activities across 201 temples in the capital.
As part of the festivities, devotees will engage in group recitation of Ashtyam Hanuman Chalisa, participate in Bhandara, and partake in the distribution of Prasad. Dr. Sanjeev Chaurasia, the committee’s patron and MLA, expressed confidence that the wave of devotion for Lord Ram will surpass the cold wave. Two chariots have been deployed throughout the region to promote the program and raise public awareness.
The focal point of the Deepotsav celebration will be the Shiva temple situated in Khajpura. During this event, a collection of songs highlighting the 500-year struggle for the Ram Temple will be released. Committee members will collectively recite Hanuman Chalisa in 101 temples as part of the commemorative activities.
A grand procession is set to embark from the Mansa Puran Hanuman Temple in Nepali Nagar, culminating at the Rajvanshi Nagar Hanuman Temple. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, marking the consecration of deities, will be broadcasted live from Ayodhya on TV screens in 51 temples. Kameshwar Chaupal, the individual who laid the first brick of the Ram temple’s foundation, will have a direct connection to Ayodhya during the event.
Bhandara, a communal feast, will be organized at 30 temples, and Bhog Prasad, a ritualistic offering, will be distributed at 50 temples, adding to the festive atmosphere and communal celebrations.
