Patna Pirates Ready for Pro Kabaddi Season 12 Starting August 29

Three-time champions Patna Pirates have finalised their squad for Pro Kabaddi Season 12, with Ankit Jaglan bought back for Rs 1.57 crore ahead of the tournament beginning on August 29.

Patna: The 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League will kick off on August 29, with three-time champions Patna Pirates preparing a strong squad for the upcoming tournament. The detailed schedule and match venues are yet to be announced.

Patna Pirates retained seven players before the players’ auction held in Mumbai on May 31 and June 1, where 10 players breached the Rs 1 crore mark. Among them, Patna Pirates bought back their all-rounder Ankit Jaglan using the FBM card for Rs 1.57 crore, making him their only player to cross the crore milestone this season. Meanwhile, Sandeep Kumar, who played for Patna Pirates last year, was bought by U Mumba for Rs 49 lakh.

The Pirates’ raiding unit will include Maninder Singh, Ayan Lohchab, Sudhakar M, Mandeep, Deepak Singh, Sahil Patil, Milan and Ankit Jaglan. The defensive line-up consists of Amin Ghorbani, Deepak Singh, Sanket Sawant, Hamid Nanded, Thiagarajan Yuvraj, Navdeep, Saurabh, Priyanshu, Balasaheb Jadhav and Sombir. The team has expressed confidence in its blend of experienced and young players as it eyes its fourth title in the upcoming season.
