
Patna: The results for the May 2025 edition of the A Clue A Day (ACAD) Quad are out, and solvers from across India have performed brilliantly. This month-long puzzle contest challenges participants to solve one cryptic clue each day. Students, professionals, and senior citizens all took part, with winners now announced in four categories.
In the school category, Shraddha Shree from St. Michael’s High School, Patna, secured first place with her sharp and consistent solving. She was followed by Dhairya Pandey from Don Bosco Academy and Saptak Gupta from Delhi Public School, Patna. All three winners are from Patna, making it a proud moment for the city.
The college-level ACAD Plus category saw Samruddhi Salgaonkar from Goa Dental College take the top spot. She was followed by Shyam Krishna Shenoy from Virginia Tech, USA, and Aryan Singh from IIT Kanpur. Their success shows the wide reach of the contest, with participants from both India and abroad.
In the senior category, Dhirendra Tripathi from Ahmedabad came first. N. Rengaswamy from Chennai and Kolluru Koteswar Rao from Hyderabad followed in second and third places. The ACAD Global category, open to all ages, was won by Harish Kamath from Bengaluru. He was joined on the winners’ list by Ramakrishnan Krishnan from Chennai and Samit Kallianpur from Secunderabad.
ACAD Quad is a yearly contest that brings together crossword fans from all over the world. With more rounds to go before the grand finale, these winners have set a high standard for the rest of the year.
